Originally from Washington State, Natalie was introduced to yoga as a form of cross training for dance and athletics. After several years in New York City, exploring the diverse wealth of yoga available, Natalie relocated to Southern California to become a certified yoga instructor. Currently teaching at several local studios, Natalie also provides yoga for young athletes at Calabasas High School. Natalie's approach to yoga emphasizes alignment and the connection between breath, movement and intention in an empowering Vinyasa Flow. In addition to yoga, Natalie is a certified holistic health counselor and goal coach.
Melissa Lander has 10 years fitness experience. She has taught everything from Personal training to kickboxing and pilates. After have three kids AntiGravity has breathed new life into her fitness regime, so much so, that she decided to become an instructor. Her favorite thing is to teach AntiGravity beginners and watch them fly!
Andie is one tough mother in every sense of the term. Now a mother of two, Andie has been a life-long athlete and fitness enthusiast. She found a passion in barre inspired workouts 8 years ago and couldn't believe the unique benefits this style of workout brought to both her body and athletic performance. After teaching as a barre instructor and private fitness trainer for years she added Piloxing and AntiGravity fitness to the mix. Currently Andie trains and competes in triathlon and other running events in addition to her practice and instruction, and has returned to grad school to complete her MFT program. She is so happy to bring long, lean, sculpted bodies to the clients of Coolhotyoga!
Dawn's passion for artistic athletics was sparked at a young age while training as a competitive figure skater. She competed nationally and placed fourth at the inaugural State Games of America before hanging up her skates to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. She trained in musical theatre and dance under Broadway performers Elaine Petricoff and Lindsay Chambers before studying in Cambridge as a part of the Moscow Art Theatre Stanislavsky School. There she studied stage movement under one of the most famous movement coaches in Russia, Andrei Droznin, and soon became enamored with elements of stage, circus and acrobatics including locomotor skills and slow motion technique. She fell in love with the aerial arts in southern California and has trained in numerous apparatuses including silks, hoop, hammock, frame, cube, Spanish web, flying trapeze, cyr wheel and harness. She is also currently a nationally certified AntiGravity instructor in Christopher Harrison's AG Fundamentals, AG Aerial Yoga and AG Suspension Fitness.
Holly teaches a style of Hatha Yoga Vinyasa with a blessing of energized peace, and personal rejuvenation to bring the balance of your mind, body, and spirit into a position of attainment. Her love for Yoga and the personal path it opens to others gave her the calling to become an instructor. She continues in her pursuit of learning, in an effort to bring the transformation of Yoga to others. Holly comes to you with an open heart, mind, and an amazing energy. Namaste!
Originally from New Jersey, Betty started her fitness obsession at coolhotyoga Cresskill. After moving to Calabasas, she was thrilled when Michelle decided to open a studio there. Betty has been manager since the opening. As her love for AntiGravity grew, she decided to receive her AntiGravity Fundamentals, Suspension Fitness and Aerial Yoga certification. Betty is also certified in Booty Barre.
Nicole Rhodes is a NASM CPT, Health and Fitness Coach (owner of Body by YOU! Fitness, specializing in group and in home personal training) creator of KICKASANA & Certified Kick2Fit™ Instructor. She believes in leading a balanced, disciplined life without deprivation. Having struggled with her weight for over 30 years....weighing over 240lbs twice! she tried EVERYTHING from diets to plastic surgery but I always managed to put the lbs back on. With the help and support of family, friends and a few fellow trainers, Nicole finally realized that there is no quick fix…..water, clean, balanced eating, and moving my body is how I began her transformation. Being consistent with these lifestyle modifications was all it took for me to find her way. Nicole's mission is to share my first hand knowledge, expertise, and experiences with all who want to make a change but have no clue where to start. She believes that in order to transform ones body you first must be willing to transform your mind. Nicole is honored and humbled to guide you on your journey without judgement but with firm encouragement helping you to realize your potential and embrace your awesomeness! The moment you realize that you are in control that's when your life can finally change.
